Incoterms define the obligations of buyer and seller in an international transaction: who pays for transport, insurance and formalities, and at what point the risk is transferred.
The most widely used
- EXW: the buyer takes on almost everything from the factory.
- FOB: the seller delivers the goods loaded on board the vessel.
- CIF: includes transport and insurance to the destination.
- DAP: delivery at the agreed place, without import clearance.
